Why would anyone vote for Sarah Palin or Newt Gingrich?

I am libertarian. My vote is for Ron Paul because even though he does not agree with abortions, he still would let states decide because he does not let his religion interfere with serious politics. Why would people vote for sarah palin or newt? they are bible thumpers. I dont like lib-tards, but I especially dont like sarah palin and newt and televangelist people like them who mix church and state. I like glenn beck too, i dont agree with him 100% of social issues but he is a decent man. but palin and newt are huge control freaks. they act like they are for freedom, but dont let gays marry because god said so? wtf? i am christian, but letting my religion screw someone elses life is WRONG my main question is why would people vote for palin or newt? would you?
