Element A loses one electron to Element B. What type of ion would Element A form?

since it would A would lose one ELECTRON (or negative charge) it will become more positive. or A+. a positive ion is commonly known as a Cation (pronounced as cat-ION, not casyon). on the other hand, B receives an electron therefore being more negative. or B- therefore, it is an anion (pronounced as an-ION not anyon) so, Element A would form a cation.
