When's the last time you found out something new about your child(ren)?

My daughter's school is having a talent show towards the end of the school year, as they do every year. My daughter has never asked to participate, but she made mention of the talent show and gave me the permission slip. So I assumed that meant she wanted to participate. I told her to start thinking of the song she wanted to sing. We started talking about other stuff, and all of the sudden, she has tears streaming down her face. I ask her what's wrong, and if she was mad at me for something...She revealed to me that she does not want to do the talent show. She's scared of singing by herself in front of so many people. Now, she can sing pretty well, and I told her-but also-there is no way I am going to MAKE her be in the talent show if she is not comfortable.
