How much would it costa to install a cam in my v8?

I have a 1998 silverdo 350 v8 and i want to get a comps thumper cam installed just wanted to know about how much this would cost at a shop. The engine has 56k its from a 99 tahoe but the engine is not in the truck yet its on a motor stand. i will buy the complete kit with springs, lifters, retainers, timing chain and gears..any suggestions about what else i sld do. any thing will help. i live in houston.
