Anime or manga about a strong female lead that's NOT about romance?

I like animes and mangas with strong female leads since I don't like the stereotypical weak-help-me-i-need-to-constantly-be-res… girl. Preferably girls that know how to fight, fun or serious, strong, can-do attitude... like fantasy, action, comedy, slice of life. But lately, whenever I read those kinds of mangas or watch any animes- It always seems to eventually happen that the lead girl ends up (not realizing it, thinks its sickness or something or denies it) blindly falling in love with some tall, dark, handsome, perfect guy (like Ren in Skip Beat) and she suddenly ends up being weak, loses sight of her goal and it turns into the weak-depend-on-mr-handsome guy all over again always worrying about how the guy will take advantage of her weakness and the plot revolves around the dumb romance. any mangas or animes that don't do that? i really don't like harem, ecchi or romance in general since it takes away from the action and stuff... so please give suggestions like claymore or azumi manga or something. thank you
